Description of work
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation had an 84″ corrugated metal culvert which was buckling and starting to collapse. The culvert was 65 feet below Route 9, which is a major connector between Keene, NH and Brattleboro, VT.
The solution was to line the structure using 60″ profile wall HDPE polyethylene pipe. Hydraulic capacity was a design concern, but with a smooth interior wall, the new polyethylene liner actually increased the culvert’s hydraulic capacity.
